MSTU and Lapland University of Applied Sciences discussed cooperation possibilities
A large delegation from Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Rovaniemi, Finland) made the initial visit to MSTU.
The delegation included Director of School for Social Services, Health and Sports Outi Hyry-Honka, Head of Degree Program in Social Services Heidi Pyyny, Head of Degree Program in Physiotherapy, Sports and Leisure Jaana Huovinen, Senior Lecturer Sari Arolaakso-Ahola, Senior Lecturer Kaisa-Mari Jama, teacher Tarja Pykäläinen, Assistant Merja Ylipulli, and Senior Specialist Leena Leväsvirta.
– It is great that MSTU and Lapland University of Applied Sciences continue to develop mutually beneficial relations. I am sure that today’s meeting will result in practical ideas and projects that are necessary for the development of our institutions, said the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Boris Petrov in his welcome word.
MSTU was represented by the Senior Specialist of International Cooperation Department Nina Ershova, Dean of the Faculty of Law Leonid Maksimets, Professor of the Department for Food Processing Technologies Iuliia Shokina, Head of the Physical Training and Sports Department Mikhail Shelkov, Head of Administration Office for Social Work and Extra Curriculum activities Elena Savelieva, Chief Engineer of the Department for Microbiology and Biochemistry Elena Klochko, and Professor of the Department for Microbiology and Biochemistry Olga Krivenko.
The meeting participants discussed possibilities to jointly develop educational programs and implement research projects in the field of healthy lifestyles, including healthy and balanced diet, sports and social activities.
