MSTU Participated in II Russian-Finnish Cross-Border Cooperation Days
On May 23-24, II Russian-Finnish Cross-Border Cooperation Days took place in the Kola District House of Culture. The event became a platform for dialogue at all levels of government. It was attended by representatives of the Government of the Murmansk Region, the Murmansk Regional Duma, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, business, public organizations, universities, as well as municipalities of the border territories of Russia and Finland. The first day of the forum was devoted to discussion of key issues of bilateral cooperation, such as economy, ecology and environmental protection, culture and education, strengthening of twin-city relations of municipalities and development of travel industry. A separate section was devoted to financial instruments, including the "Kolarctic 2014-2020" cross-border cooperation program. Vice-Rector of Innovation and International Cooperation V.V.Yatsenko presented MSTU at the section "Culture and Education: Space of Opportunity," where she spoke about cooperation with Finnish universities in the field of joint scientific research, projects of the Kolarctic program, as well as academic mobility of students and teachers.
