MSTU students took part in the annual summer programme «Business Practice in Norway»

31 July – 07 August a group of MSTU students together with students from Arkhangelsk, Kiev, Saint-Petersburg and Simferopol visited the University of Nordland to take part in the annual "Business practice in Norway".
The Business Practice programme included lectures of the leading university teachers, theory study at the students' library, visits to the biggest companies in Bodo and interviews with their managers. Some of the companies that the students had a chance to visit were the energy plant Bodo Energy, Bodo trading port, the WhiteFox designing company, DNB bank, Municipal Department for Small Enterprise Development and the Iris Salten recycling plant. The lectures were given by the region's business representatives, namely Head of Bodo Business Forum, manager of the Polar Quality company distributing fish farms products, top managers of the Statens Vegvesen road constructing company, captain of the Hurtigruten cruise ferry and Nordlands Hospital financial director.
The course organizers had also planned a rich cultural programme. Apart form the city most beautiful sites (Napoleonic times fort, Bodo harbour, the city panorama) the students could also see the local tourist attraction – the world's strongest tidal current Salstraumen, and take part in hiking, canoeing and barbecues. Of course there was some time left to shop around which made the trip to Norway fully enjoyable.
A week's work resulted in theoretically grounded business projects that the students had to defend against the panel of course teachers; all presentations arouse a heated discussion and were highly marked by them. After the projects are carefully studied once again the final grades will be given and the students will be awarded certificates of participation in the "Business Practice in Norway".
As to MSTU team, they got unforgetable experience, invaluable theoretical knowledge and practical skills, met new friends, tryed a new way of studying at a European university and did their best the represent MSTU in the international environment.
