College
MSTU College was founded in 1994 and from the moment of its foundation it has worked successfully in the field of education. First the students had the possibility to major only in one field - Management. At the present moment there are four major of study:
- Management with the additional training in financing, advertising, commerce
- Economics, accounting and accounting control
- Electrical distribution and providing
- Technical operation, maintenance and repairing of the electrical and electromechanical equipment
There is a plan for future to open one more major - Computing systems and Nets.
MSTU College has the computer class, connected to the MSTU net. Internet access is provided as well as personal e-mail.
College students as MSTU students can use the MSTU infrastructure including library funds.
The new activities are developing, among them international projects. The cooperation with Kirkenes High School is successfully continuing for almost two years. Within the frames of this cooperation the college students visited Kirkenes in 2001 and the Norwegian students visited Murmansk. During those visits students from both sides had the joined lectures. In 2002 they are planning students communication by Internet and students mutual visits to Kirkenes and Murmansk.
Among the college students there are grant-aided students, awarded by grants of the Murmansk Major, winners of the Olympiads and sport competitions. Our students are always eager to meet new friends.
